Buchanan Media offers bespoke media training to companies and individuals. We can provide one-off training ahead of a specific event,
or more general training for businesses looking at social media and being interviewed by the press. Claire and James can use their considerable experience in identifying what the media is likely to be most interested in and how companies can react positively.
Claire also lectures journalism students in higher education to help them break into the industry.

We offer full social media management too, or training if once established, you prefer to run the sites yourself.

Claire and James Buchanan at Buchanan Media are available for talks. Both are top public speakers and between then have more around 70 years’ experience of the media industry.
We cater for after dinner speaking, and for schools and university talks.

Need an experienced producer to film and record an advert? Or an event to be staged? Come to Buchanan Media. Here we will create and design what you need. Claire knows how to tell a story from her many decades spent filming across the UK and world. She knows what grabs the audiences attention, and knows how to make an event run smoothly.
ABOUT
Claire Buchanan has worked for many of the world’s top international broadcasters including 25 years
at the BBC. She’s been involved in covering some of the most important news stories over the last quarter
of a century, from terror attacks and grizzly crimes to election campaigns on both sides of the Atlantic and major Royal events. She’s led teams in the field in Britain and abroad and has been responsible for sending reporters and camera crews to all the world’s hotspots. Claire has a wealth of contacts inside and outside
the media, useful for planning any event. Since setting up Buchanan Media in April 2019 she has helped plan launch events, site managed media facilities and lectures students on journalism courses.
She works closely with her husband James, a former correspondent and executive
at both the BBC and ITN.
Buchanan Media is based in Rutland in the Midlands and so it is easy for us to travel
right across the country to clients.
